Pixie Cottage Challenge #15

Woodgrain Card

Last Friday night, I met with a few friends for our monthly craft group...and learned something new and fun! Pam showed us how to make our own woodgrain background from cardstock, pigment ink and reinker. It looked fabulous! And didn't take long to do! So I was dying to do it again and make something new! And then....in my blog hopping, I actually found a few challenges that this sort of thing would work out for! So here is my card, and the challenges are listed below!!!

the first of many.....

...posts of catching up!!! after my trip, i am soooo far behind! I have been trying to catch up on stuff, and haven't really been super motivated to do it. I started by digging into the white space challenges this week on 365. These are always fun! force me to think outside the box!!! Here are 3 that I have done so far (the ones that I have managed to take the time to photo edit too!) I also used all of these for Simply Scrapping Crafts color challenges for April....another site i am WAY behind on!!!

It's that time again! Time for another challenge over at the Shoe! This week we are challenging you to use the colors Kraft, Pastel Yellow, and Pastel Blue on your project. My project was made while I'm away from home and with very limited supplies! I used a Pixie Cottage Stamp, Barnie in the Spring, by Artish (isn't he super cute???!), and some paper I found in my sister in law's scraproom. I am kicking myself for not bringing my nestabilities with me....oh well, I think it turned out ok!!! Please check out the Shoe this week and play along with us! These colors rock!!!
This may be my last post until I get home...i'm leaving monday!!! I'm having fun, but can't WAIT to get back to my craft room!!!

The Pixie Cottage Challenge #13

This week at the Pixie Cottage we have a 'choose your challenge' going on! There is a sketch, and a technique! The technique this week is embossing....can be dry, or heat embossing, you pick! OR....you can do the sketch challenge....which here is your sketch:



Add embossing to your project, or use the sketch, OR DO BOTH! My sample using Baby Blake, by Lisa Schmidt, used both! Pop on over to the Pixie Cottage to see what the rest of the DT created and check out the yummy candy while you are there!

FF#29 at the Shoe!

Did everyone have a great EAster? We are here in West Virginia visiting family and the kids are having a blast playing with there cousins! If you are still on the 'egg' kick.....be sure to stop over at the Shoe for Fashionista Friday #29....featuring EGGS!
